Description: Native wildlife here in Australia is my greatest influence. I see the vibrancy everywhere, even in the most simple leaf. I love bold colour, textural strokes and scratching away layers to see the tones underneath.I work intuitively on building a piece often adding and subtracting bursts of colour, scribbles and washes before settling on the final composition. I collage back in my own drawings of leaves and flowers or painted elements and explore different angles. I love the control and freedom collage gives you to build and rebuild the painting until you find what you love.
