The teacups represent the beauty and fragility of life.Simone has always found solace in painting and has won numerous awards for her artwork over the years. With a Bachelor in Visual Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Education Simone finds it most rewarding teaching art to others. These two artworks “Generation Iʼ and ʻGeneration IIʼ resemble two generations of life on the land. The old Queenslander homes represent Family and the teacups resemble two different generations pertaining to the maternal side of the Family.Simone primarily paints with acrylic on canvas and incorporates collage and screenprinting to create a layering effect in her artwork.
